Ringsjön Water Council is looking for a Water Coordinator

The staff of the Ringsjön Water Council is organizationally part of the strategic unit in the Community Building Sector. In addition to the water council, there are also a municipal ecologist and community planner. Besides the water coordinator, the water council has a biologist working at 50% with extensive experience in the council's activities who acts as an expert. Höör is located in the middle of Skåne, has good train connections, beautiful nature, 17,000 inhabitants, and a steady population increase. With around 1,400 employees, Höör Municipality is the largest employer. Many of our employees commute here.

As a water coordinator, your main task will be to create good conditions for implementing restoration measures upstream of Ringsjön. When it comes to implementation, you will coordinate consultants and contractors. Since the emphasis of your work is on the projects rather than during implementation, it is more important that you enjoy landowner dialogues than having practical experience in creating wetlands.
You are a generalist in the field of water conservation rather than an expert. You will collaborate with the water council's biologist in the work and rely on external expert consultants. There are good role models in other water councils in Skåne. The Ringsjön Water Council will build its work on experiences from these.
Additionally, the position includes coordinating and administering the ongoing operations of the water council (approximately 25% of full-time). This mainly concerns meetings in the preparation group, management group, board, and assembly. The tasks include, among other things, preparing agendas and meeting bookings in collaboration with the unit manager, as well as taking minutes and writing protocols.
